We cannot believe that we could enjoy Marrakech as much as we did, if it were not for the guidance and help from Michelle and Grant. They were not only owners and gracious hosts of Riad Assakina, but experts about Marrakech places to see, things to do, how best to get around, and how to make the most of each day. They were extremely thoughtful in their recommendations, and went above and beyond by anticipating our special needs. My husband and I looked forward to “going home” and ending each daily adventure in the beauty, calm, and cleanliness of Riad Assakina. We cannot overstate the excellent service from the Riad Assakina team, from the owners to all the staff. They were attentive, responsive, prepared scrumptious breakfasts and obviously engaged with their guests. They all made us feel at home. (The afternoon tea with cake was a nice touch before dinner. We probably didn’t need the extra calories but they were hard to resist.)The Riad had all the creature comforts we are used to - the soft, silky feel of the bedroom linen; perfect pillows and comforters; large bath sheets. The rooms had Wi-Fi, Cable TV and air conditioning. The bathroom was spacious and had all the toiletries we needed. Lastly, we were pleased with the Riad’s location within the medina. We were not too far from the sights and shops, yet far enough to be quiet and away from the crowds.We hope our family, friends and other travelers can experience the Marrakech hospitality offered by Riad Assakina, as well as we did.

Stayed in Riad Assakina for a few nights in February 2022. We stayed in the Kiad Suite which looks even better in reality than in pictures. Michelle and Grant are wonderful hosts and skilled in suggesting suitable places to visit and see. The Riad is exceptionally stylish and the attention to detail is remarkable. I have never posted a trip response before but in this instance was so impressed that I thought it necessary. The food, the hospitality of the team and the beautiful ambiance makes the Riad Assakina an exceptional place to stay. Emily

Riad Assakina is one of the best places I have ever stayed. It was everything I was hoping for from a riad and so much more. I honestly cant fault anything. The riad is exquisitely renovated and decorated, the rooms are spotlessly clean, the staff are amazing, the breakfast was fantastic. The standout however was the host, Michele. I have never been made to feel so welcome and been helped so much on a trip. Nothing was too much trouble, and her local knowledge and recommendations on trips and restaurants was so very helpful. Marrakesh isn't always the easiest place to do the tourist thing; the riad was like a home from home. Having travelled globally and visited Marrakesh a number of times, if you want a riad stay in Marrakesh, you honestly won't find a better one.

My friend and I stayed at the beautiful Riad Assakina in February of 2020. As soon as we walked in, we knew we had made the right choice, as Michelle and Grant immediately offered us tea and cake - what we would soon learn is a daily tradition! The Riad itself is absolutely stunning, with a ton of outdoor space, and our room was also very beautiful. Michelle and Grant were friendly and knowledgable, offering us everything from restaurant recommendations, to tips on where to buy the best Moroccan bowls. I would 100% stay here again if I were back in Marrakech, and would highly recommend it!

I've been lucky enough to visit the beautiful Riad assakina at least once a year since 2012 until the restrictions of the pandemic. And now at last, i've been able to return after 2 long years!!!The warm and friendly welcome from Michele, Grant and their team makes it feel like coming home each time.The riad is a peaceful haven in which to relax after the exciting hustle and bustle of the souks!! It's wonderful to sit back and enjoy the gorgeous decor of the riad and the calming atmosphere as well as the warm and friendly approach of the staff.Michele always has fantastic ideas for new places to visit and they never disappoint. I can't wait to return!!

The Riad contacted me when we booked and gave me lots of information and asked if we would like them to book a taxi for us, which we did and that was great when we arrived at the airport. You walk down a little alley way and then into this amazing property. It is stunning.When we arrived Naoual spent time with us discussing the Riad and Marrakech. There is even a special map down by the owners with recommendations for restaurants and places to visit. Naoual booked restaurants and excursions for us which were brilliant.Our room was so special and we slept amazingly well as the Riad is so quiet and peaceful inside. Breakfast again was stunning, I loved the Berber eggs, fresh squeezed orange and strong coffee.Hicham looked after the Riad at night and again he was so helpful, we had a glass of wine sat in the courtyard in the evening.We would strongly recommend this Riad and the lovely people that run it.

Traditionally, although this property was formerly a brothel, a riad was somene's home, and you are a guest in what served as a home. It is fitting to have a connection with your hosts.You will know you made the best choice to stay at Riad Assakina as you enjoy tea and cake. How better to enjoy the comforts of a home than with freshly made cake. Maybe it was a dream because I thought I was in heaven.The longer you stay at Riad Assakina the more artifacts and character you will discover. Beautiful decor everywhere, each room having its own color palette. The thick and rich fabric of the curtains created a cocoon for a good night's sleep. The bouquet of flowers, fresh fruit in the afternoon, chocolate on your pillow and a votive candle is all representative of the care taken by your hosts and their wonderful staff.You will enjoy a laugh at every turn by your host-rocker Grant and a boutique curated by your hostess-designer Michele.The terrace is spacious and comfortable where you would consider being to listen for the call to prayer or to relax and spot a stork.You are attended to at Riad Assakina with the utmost care as you yourself would attend to a guest in your own home.Thank you to Riad Assakina for holding a space for travelers to Marrakesh.
